Dog Training

Before you can choose an actual dog trainer, I believe you must first decide what kind of bond you want to establish with your dog.

About me

Your Perfect Partner In Training

Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved dogs and animals in general. After having a career in psychology and in the financial market, I decided it was high time to do what I really love, and help our beloved 4-legged friends and their people.

At the age of 30 I resigned and dedicated myself to learning and developing gentle training methods that are established on trust, respect and mutual listening.

Puppy training

Puppy training is not just about dealing with potty training and stopping biting. In fact, the more proactive you will be, the better life you and your dog are going to have. This includes being prepared to the different development stages and their effect on your dog’s behaviour. How to set rules in an effective and gentle ways, how to teach your puppy self-control and enjoy your time both when you’re together and when your puppy is on her own.

Basic manners

All dogs and humans enjoy their lives together more when they understand each other, know the rules and respect them. Many time what seems to us as wildness or rudeness is simply lack of knowledge or understanding the rules.

Behavioural problems

If you and your dog already have issues, whether it’s anxiety, aggression of different kinds, whether it’s directed towards humans, kids, other dogs or animals, I will be happy to help you. In fact, rehabilitating dogs with aggressive behavioural problems is where I feel I give my best. This is where I know I really save dogs’ lives, as so many people give up on their dogs with these kinds of issues. Remember, when your dogs show aggression or anxiety, they suffer from it as well. Give them a chance. Call me.

Other animals

I have worked with cats, horses and other animals as well. (Even with lions, wolves and elephants…) in such cases I need to visit you at the place where your animal is.

All services are available from distance (except of other animals) via online meetings. Home visits are available too, depending on distance from Porvoo. I speak fluent Doggish, English (and Hebrew) and a bit Swedish.

In fact, one can say that I got to know *Mika thanks to Noga. I have always loved dogs, but when I brought Mika as an adorable puppy, I felt something was missing. We lacked communication. I couldn't translate her behavior and understand her wants, needs, and she didn't understand what must have sounded to her like senseless growls: it's not allowed to pee in the house, or "come here!" (Which most times ended with turning her back and walking in the opposite direction.) I decided to consult with a trainer, but when he recommended a hit her on the nose, I realized that it might be better not to. I turned to Noga, great happiness!! Noga taught me good communication, how to "talk" with Mika, to understand the complex of her behaviors, and make her understand me. Mika enjoyed every moment in the lessons that were a challenge for her, a kind of fascinating and amazing game accompanied by treats and caresses as positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement is a central concept in Noga's method, and it works amazingly. No yelling, no beatings, no pulling on the collar. Mika became calm and happy, a dog that knows what is allowed and what is not allowed. Everything is learned in a fun, smart and supportive way without breaking her spirit (and my soul...) Noga is a treasure of knowledge, an educator, a language teacher, and for that I will forever be grateful. So Noga, thank you!!

Our chess is a cute dog - but extremely anxious. He has fears of people, noises and different situations. We took him from a shelter, and in fact until he came to us, he had almost no exposure to humans, but only to the company of dogs. When we took him, he insisted on escaping under the bed or the sofa, and while we believed that "it will pass with time" the actual situation only got worse. Noga helped us and chess to face our fears, to learn to look at every scary thing and discover that it also has the potential for something good - for treats, snacks, positive reinforcement and demonstrations of warmth and love. Noga equipped us with clear rules and simple solutions to situations we might get into. Through simple training, exercises and games that improve chess and our self-confidence, it is possible to discover that there is no contradiction between discipline and fun. The difference between the chess of today and the chess of then is like the difference between day and night - or between black and white. Noga understands dogs, and knows how to read (and translate) their body language and communicate with them, but no less important - she also understands humans, and knows when the dog owner himself needs a little "positive reinforcement", when we are skeptical and when we need to take a step back. We highly recommend it to all dogs’ parents - with or without problems and anxieties. Thank you very much

We just wanted to thank you very much for all the excellent training we received, and that we are very satisfied with the amazing results. Spikey came to me about six months ago from a family who claimed that they couldn't get along with him and that he kept running away from them. I brought him to me and indeed Spikey was tied up the whole time and if I let him go, he would run away and not want to come back until after a few hours. In addition, Spikey was also a bit aggressive towards other dogs and it was really stressful to walk with him. We asked Noga to help us, and from the very first day we started training Spikey became a different dog. I was shocked by the quick results. I started to let him walk freely, Spikey doesn't run away anymore, on the contrary. He is always with me and almost always attentive to everything. In addition, we joined a training group in with several dogs, and since then Spikey is no longer aggressive at all towards other dogs - on the contrary, he really likes to play with them In short, the results are amazing. My dog has become friendly and calm. Everyone notices the change.
